Deferred Directorate of Library Services’ exams spark chaos

Chaos had erupted this morning at the Directorate of LibraryServices following the written examinations for the posts of Library Assistant,junior Assistant (HoD), Junior Assistant (District Level), which were scheduledto be held today had been deferred.

Many applicants had to return from their examination centresafter they alleged that they were not informed about the deferment of theexaminations. According to reports, people came from faraway places to sit forthe exams finding no updates on the website of the Directorate.

It was after the applicants had arrived at the Director's office and the examination centres that a printed notice had been put outside.

However, it has come to light that the Directorate did issue a notice in few local newspapers on July 18-19 about the exam dates being postponed.

The director had been gheraoed by the examinees. "Notputting an update about the deferment of the exams is our only mistake", saidthe Director.
