Delhi students protest against Citizenship Bill

The students from Assam, who are pursuing education in Delhi, have staged a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday. The Bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday is likely to be placed for consideration in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

The students from Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Jamia Millia Islamia shouted slogans against Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. They also displayed play-cards against CM and the Bill.

Speaking to Pratidin Time, a student asked the people of the State to unite and file a case in the Supreme Court against the Bill.
