Dibrugarh: Rameswar Teli (BJP) retains seat

In yet another win for the BJP in Assam, sitting MP Rameswar Teli has been successful in retaining the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat in this General Elections.

Teli won the seat with 659583 votes and has left behind Congress' Paban Singh Ghatowar, who bagged 295017 votes, by a margin of 364,566 votes.

In the major reshuffle made by the BJP high command before the elections, Teli's position was left unchanged which definitely was a card well played.
