Dibrugarh: Stones pelted at CM Sonowal’s house

Amid thelarge scale protests against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), 2019, stoneswere pelted at the house of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inDibrugarh on Wednesday night.

Accordingto reports, the stones were pelted at CM Sonowal's house in the Lakhinagar area,where some windowpanes were damaged, informed Dibrugarh Police officials.

Meanwhile,the protesters also vandalised the houses of BJP MLA Prasanta Phukan and MP RameshwarTeli.

Earlierin the day, Sonowal was stuck at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi InternationalAirport in Guwahati for several hours due to the protests after he returnedfrom Tezpur in a helicopter.
