Dip Bhuyan’s ‘Idiom of Rug’ to be screened at MIFF

Assam filmmaker Dip Bhuyan's documentary 'Idiom of Rug' will be screened at the 2020 Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF). The 52-minute long documentary will be screened on January 31 (Friday) at the Audi-II in the national competition category.

Thedocumentary is based on the Arunachal community, which makes rugs out of yakhair. It was edited by Simanta Sandilya Sarmah. Jayanta Kumar Sharma is theassociate director and Sayanika Dutta Sarkar is the assistant director of thedocumentary, which was made last year.

Itmay be mentioned here that Dip Bhuyan is involved with numerous remarkableAssamese feature films over the years like 'Hiya Diya Niya', 'Nayak','Konyadan'. He is also known for his works like – The Divided Soul, ResonanceOf Mother's Melody.
