In a breakthrough, State Finance and Treasury Department has suspended Amarendra Sharma, Treasury Officer (TO) of Diphu.

A sum of INR 5,56,100 was recovered in Diphu treasury office from the chamber of Treasury Officer (TO) Amarendra Sharma during a raid by Karbi Anglong police on Wednesday.

There has been allegation that Sharma had been taking money as bribe to clear the bills by getting TO signature and token for payment of salary and non salary.
