Baghjan Police conducted an anti-drugs operation and arrested a drug peddler from Rupai, Doomdooma.

The peddler has been identified as Biman Chetia. Five grams of brown sugar have also been recovered from Chetia.

Chetia is presently in police custody, with interrogation going on.

It may be mentioned here that the police had been conducting numerous operations against drugs and illicit liquor in the region.
