‘Dry Day’ declared in Kamrup (M) ahead of LS Polls

The Assam Government banned the sale and serving liquor for Phase-III Lok Sabha Elections.'Dry Day' have been declared in the Kamrup Metropolitan region on April 21, 22 and 23 keeping in view third phase of LS polls 2019.

All Bonded Warehouses, IMFL Retail Shops including Club, Hotel and Country Spirit Shops will remain closed during the Dry Days. Further, during this period the storage of liquor by individual shall be curtailed from 5 pm on April 21 to 5 pm on April 23, 2019.According to sources no one will be exempted from following this strict order.

Any violation of the order shall be dealt with under the relevant provision of Assam Excise Act and Rules to respective Constituencies.
