A chaotic situation erupted in Duliajan's Balijan Tea Estate after two of its workers had been suspended.

Accordingto reports, the two workers, namely, Nitai Maniram and Hinu Nayak went lookingfor their due amount, pertaining to which the Head of the Tea Estate suspendedthem.

Consequently,hundreds of workers gheraoed the residence of the Tea Estate Head last night.

Police hadbeen deployed to control the situation in the area, however, they also gotinvolved in a scuffle with the protestors.

Thesituation of the tea estate is still tensed.
