Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude shakes Assam

A medium intensity earthquake today shook Assam and its adjoining areas at 10.23 AM.

The earthquake was measured to be 5.1 on the Richter scale, the Regional Seismological Centre informed.

As of now, no reports of any damage or loss to life have been reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a place 22 km from Dhing in Nagaon district. The epicenter was at latitude 26.2 degree North and Longitude 92.5 degree east.
