Eid-ul-Zuha: 5 persons allowed to offer namaz in mosques

On the upcoming occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha to be observed August 1 amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration has permitted five worshippers to offer namaz maintaining social distancing norms in Mosques and Idgahs.

This decision was taken after permission for atleast five worshippers to perform namaz in Masjids and Idgahs were requested by the representatives of the Mosques and Idgah committees.

The order stated the worshippers should wear masks mandatorily and social distancing norms should be maintained. No other relaxations have been permitted and rest would offer namaz in their respective residences maintaining the social distancing norms.
