Elephant calf found dead in Chandrapur

An elephant calf found dead at the Khamrenga Beel ofThakurkuchi in Chandrapur on Tuesday morning.

Reportedly, a herd of elephants was seen in the region on Monday night, which came from the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary.

It has been suspected that the calf belonged to that herd and had died by tied up at the mud of the beel.
