The Bishwaratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika International Solidarity Award has been declared. It has been awarded to Eric Khoo Kim Hai.

Eric is a Singaporean director, producer and credited for the revival of the Singapore film industry.

The award will be given during March-April of the coming year.

The award consists of a letter of felicitation, souvenir, 'Seleng Sador', a bundle of books and a cheque of Rs five lakh.

Assam Sahitya Sabha will present the award under the aegis of Numaligarh Refinery.
