Fake Notes worth Rs. 12 lakh seized

The NagaonPolice on Sunday morning seized FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) worth aroundRs. 12 lakhs and fake note printing machines from Gendhali Bebejia area underthe district. The police also detained six in connection with the seizure.

Actingon a tip off, a team of Nagaon Police conducted a raid in a house to seize theFICN and machines. Police detained Khirod Burhagohain, Mohim Gogoi, KamalUddin, Suraj Ali, Rashid Ali and Bilal Hussain.

Police informed that FICN were seized in the denomination of Rs. 500 amounting to Rs. 12 lakh.

Acase has been registered regarding the incident. Further investigation is beingconducted.
