First Nagaland Lokayukta to be sworn-in today

The first Lokayukta of Nagaland will be sworn-in today at 6:30 in the evening. Former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Uma Nath Singh will officially take office as the first Lokayukta.

Nagaland Governor PB Acharya will administer the oath of office to Justice Singh at raj Bhawan in Kohima.

Justice Singh will hold the office of the Lokayukta for a term of five years or till the age of 70 is attained.
