Flood hits Gohpur as Brahmajan river overflows

Incessant rain has led to the overflow of Brahmajan river at Gohpur. The overflowing water has inundated villages nearby, affecting numerous families of the region.

Nalanibari, Kekurijan and Amjarani are the most affected.

Locals have alleged that the water resources department as well as the administration of Gohpur have turned their backs to the flood-affected.

It may be mentioned here that the recent wave of flood had claimed 32 lives across the Assam. Nazira and Sonari are also presently reeling under flood.
