Flood situation improves in Mizoram: Officials

Officials of the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation department have informed that the flood situation in Mizoram had improved on Saturday, with the water level of river Tlawng and Langkaih receding.

Though the water level of Tlawng and Langkaih river in Lunglei district has started receding, around 500 families were still displaced and a number of houses are under water, the officials said.

Meanwhile, the Aizawl to Lunglei road was blocked again at Mualthuam due to landslide.
