Floods and landslides wreak havoc in Nagaland

Three districts of Nagaland Tuensang, Kiphire and Phek have been totally cut off by the recent floods and landslides. As per official reports of Nagaland government floods and landslides have damaged roads in 359 locations in the state as the rains became incessant from July 26. More than 3,000 families have been displaced due to devastating floods and landslides.

"Nagaland needs your help. Incessant rain has caused floods and landslides in several parts of the state and has affected many,"  CM Neiphiu Rio tweeted on Wednesday.

Government also stated that 12 lives have been lost so far while many properties, including agricultural lands, were damaged by the natural calamity. Nagaland government needs about Rs 800 crore for restoration of the damage caused by this year's floods and landslides.
