Pratidin Bureau

Food Security Department launched an operation in Biswanath on Wednesday night.

The operation on hotels and dhabas had been carried on for two hours. These places, where people travelling at night have food, had been found operating in unhygienic surroundings.

During the operations, the detestable conditions of the kitchens, dining area and the arrangements have come to light.

The conditions of the food joints have shocked the operation team. There have also been allegations of charging customers of excessive prices for the food items.

The places that had been raided are Rodali Dhaba, Green Garden and Janardan Hotel.

The department has also warned the hotel and dhaba authorities of cancelling their licences if the instructions laid by the team are not followed.
