Former Chenga MLA passes away

Former MLA of Chenga constituencyin Barpeta district, Liakat Ali Khan died on Wednesday at Narayana Hospital. Hewas 64.

According to reports, he wasadmitted to the hospital today after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Liakat Ali Khan was elected tothe Assam assembly from Chenga constituency in 1991 from Congress ticket andlater in 2006 from AGP ticket. He joined the BJP in 2017 and was serving as anexecutive member.

His family members informed thatthe last rites will be performed on Thursday.
