Pratidin Bureau

After the publication of National Register of Citizens (NRC), the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Saturday expressed dissatisfaction over the NRC.

AGP president Atul Bora addressing a press conference in Guwahati said that they are dissatisfied with the final NRC, adding that all the indigenous people of Assam are disappointed with the list.

"We were expecting an error-free NRC. It was clear that there was a huge influx of illegal foreigners in Assam and the Assam Movement was initiated following
that. But the final NRC is not satisfactory," said Bora.

On the other hand former chief minister of Assam Prafulla Kr. Mahanta said, he is happy with the NRC. He added, if there is something for not to be satisfy with it, than state and central govt will be responsible for it.
