Pradip Talukdar, the former Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj has sent to jail on Wednesday.
As per reports, earlier Kalita was in 2 days police custody and today, Karimganj CJM court had pronounced the verdict against Kalita as court found his involvement with Sutarkandi Soil scam and sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
It may be stated that, Kalita was suspended from the post of the Secretary in Cooperative department on 19th July 2019.
