Apart from the sensational accident in Bongaigaon, four more people including three women on Wednesday afternoon in the State.

In a major accident that took place near NIT over the Silchar-Hailakandi road, a woman died on the spot after a dumper rammed on the motor-cycle, she was travelling in with her brother. Identified as Anamika Singha, the woman was about to be getting married in the next week. Following the incident locals blocked the Silchar-Hailakandi road. Later police and CRPF controlled the heated situation.

Similarly, in another tragic accident in Dokmoka under Karbi Anglong district, an Innova vehicle hit the corner of a bridge and fell down into a river. As per report, three including two women died following the accident.
