Fraudster Arrested from Lakhimpur

The Lakhimpur police on Monday arrested one fraudster from Lakhimpur. The person identified as Dhrubajyoti Saikia charged a heavy amount from Oil India Limited in the name of providing cars in rent.

Police informed that Saikia charges Rs. 1lakh to Rs. 2 lakhs bribe while providing cars to OIL. He even collected more than Rs. 6crores by providing 160 vehicles along with one Padmeshwar Gogoi of Lakhimpur.

The Lakhimpur police on Monday arrested Saikia based on a complaint lodged by the victims.
