Ghy-North Ghy ferry services to resume from Monday

The Ferry Services connecting Guwahati to North-Guwahati is likely to be reopened which was temporarily stopped due to the rising water level in the Brahmaputra river.

The Inland Water Transport Department (IWTD) had ordered shutting down of the services from July 11. However, sources in the department have informed that the Ferry Services between Guwahati and North-Guwahati is likely to be resumed from Monday (July 22).

Itmay be mentioned here that heavy rains had devastated all the Ferry ghats. Onlyafter the repair of the ghats, the services are likely to be resumed for thecommuters.
