Guwahati: GMC Assistant Engineer Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe

An assistant engineer of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has been caught red-handed by sleuths of Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption while accepting a bribe on Friday.

As per reports, the engineer, identified as one Dibakar Mali, asked for Rs 5000 from the complainant for some official work.

After the complaint was lodged, the anti corruption cell laid a trap and caught Mali red-handed from his office in Fancy Bazar.

Taking to Twitter, ADGP (Law & Order), GP Singh informed, "One Dibakar Mali, Assistant Engineer of @gmc_guwahati caught red handed today while accepting demanded bribe money by @DIR_VAC_ASSAM @assampolice @CMOfficeAssam @mygovassam.
