After failing to secure a single seat in the recently held by-elections in Assam, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi on Saturday hinted that the political equation for the Congress in the 2021 Assam Assembly polls would be different.

Addressing the media in Guwahati, Gogoi said, "Congress will keep its doors open for like-minded parties to forge an alliance to contest the Assembly polls. We would not mind going along with the AIUDF."
