The death toll in the deadly road accident that tookplace in Gohpur has increased to five with one more succumbed to her injuriesin a hospital on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as BudhamaiGogoi.

The accident took place when a truck (AS-25-EC-1656)collided with a Maximo (AS-12-C-7935) on Saturday evening. The Maximo with 8persons on board fell into a ditch when the truck rammed the vehicle and fourpassengers died on the spot. The victims were identified as Chandra Kutum,Satyaban Kutum, Brajen Bora and Sabitri Gogoi.

Police were informed immediately after the accidenttook place and they with the help of locals had rescued the injured persons andadmitted them at hospital.
