An incident of gun firing reportedly took place at Uriamghat of Sarupathar in the Golaghat district of Assam on Thursday night.

According to sources, the gun firing took place between two parties in the Uriamghat area over stone quarry.

Sources have also informed that the situation between the two parties has also resulted in the injury of two people by gunshots.

The two people injured in the gun firing are identified as Hamid Ali and Anwar Hussain.

Meanwhile, police are carrying on the investigation process on the case and the two injured are being admitted to the nearby civil hospital.
