A theft occurred at a house in North Guwahati's Rajaduar on Saturday night.

According to sources, the thieves broke through the grilled gate of the house and entered it while nobody was home.

Gold jewellery and ornaments were stolen from the house, which belonged to one Kamleshwar Kalita.

Police have reached the spot and investigation is underway.
