A goods train on Wednesday early morning overshot the platform in Dekargaon railway station of Tezpur and was derailed by few meters forward.

As per reports, the incident took place due to thick fog which affected the visibility. The driver was also blamed for the mishap as he did not apply the brakes in time.

While no one was injured, the damage caused to the tracks and the goods is yet to be ascertained.
