Gorkha Students’ Union Stages Protest Against NRC

The All Assam Gorkha Students Union (AAGSU) has observed three-hoursit-in demonstration throughout the state in protest against the NRC.

Around 2lakh Gorkha's name have been dropped from NRC. The protestorshave staged the protest raising slogans against NRC Coordinator Prateek Hajela.

In Kaliabor, the Gorkha community has staged protest in front of Kaliabor sub-divisional office. They demanded to solve the problem of Gorkha voters and also demanded to make NRC error-free and to include the name of Gorkha's as they claimed themselves to be the genuine Indian citizens'.  

Along with the state-wide protest, the Gorkhas' have also stagedprotest in Bokajan. They raised slogans against Prateek Hajela, SarbanandaSonowal and the BJP government. They claimed that their names have been droppedfrom the NRC by making it a conspiracy.
