The news of the delimitation of assembly constituencies in the state is at the peak. As per reliable sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is mulling over constituting a delimitation commission to study the current assembly constituencies in Assam and table its recommendations.

The MHA is believed to be the action plan forfresh delimitation of constituencies and appointment of a delimitationcommission. The delimitation exercise will redraw the scope and size ofassembly constituencies.
