GRP Seized Illegal Elaichis at Guwahati Railway Station

A large amount of elaichis have been seized at Guwahati Railway Station on Wednesday. The elaichi has been seized while it was being smuggled from Dimapur by a train.

TheGovernment Railway Police (GRP) has seized the elaichis of around 20 quintalswhich was carried from Dimapur to New Jalpaiguri.

GRPinformed that the elaichis which have been seized is worth Rs. 2 crore 40lakhs.

TheGRP also seized 57 bags of supari some 15 hours before the elaichis have beenseized.
