Continuing with the crackdown on drug peddlers in the city, the Jalukbari police on Monday night arrested two drugs peddlers from Garigaon in the city while selling drugs to students and the public in the area.

Police have identified the accused as Mokib Ali and Michael. Based on information from credible sources that the accused were selling drugs in the area, the public cracked the whip on them.

They were later handed over to police for further probe.

The alarming rate of drug abuse has always been a problem and especially the increase of drug abuse among youngsters has had detrimental effects on the society.
