A fire broke out at a house in Guwahati's Panjabari area late Sunday.

Sources say the incident took place at a carpenter's house, gutting it to the ground. Everything was burned and destroyed including cash, goods, furniture, and books of the carpenter's two sons.

Fortunately, the blaze was successfully doused with the help of locals however the damage is immense.
