Guwahati: Huge Amount of Drugs Seized from Jorabat, 2 Held

The Guwahati police in its continued war against drugs has seized huge amount of drugs from Jorabat. The police seized the drugs while it was being brought from Manipur in a truck bearing registration number MN 04 A 9866.

Police said that the drugs have been brought in the engine of the truck.

60 packets of heroin worth Rs. 4 crore have been seized during an operation against drugs at Jorabat. Police also arrested two persons in connection to it. The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Waris and Jalison Tayonzen.

The Guwahati police have seized heroin worth Rs. 7 crore in the last 25 days, 12 kilograms of ganja, 14,000 cough syrup bottles and 250 cartons of illegal liquor.
