A lecturer of private college in Guwahati has been arrested for making controversial statements regarding the Pulwama attack. The lecturer of the Icon Commerce College in Rajgarh has been arrested by the Chandmari Police on Sunday for making objectionable remarks on the martyr of the Pulwama attack on social networking site facebook.

Identified as Papri Z Banerjee, the lecturer allegedly made disrespectful comment on the martyr CRPF jawan and the Pulwama attack. She also made comment on the Kashmir issue.

Meanwhile, the authority of the Icon Commerce College has suspended the lecturer with immediate effect.
