Guwahati: No Bolbom Celebration Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

After Ambubachi, the temple authorities of Guwahati has decided to cancel the Bolbom celebrated in the month of July (Sawan in Assamese) amid the coronavirus outbreak. This is the first in the history that such festivals like Ambubachi, Bolbom, etc will not be celebrated across the country due to the rising cases of COVID-19.

The Basistha Devalaya and Sukreswar Devalaya authorities have informed that the month-long festival to be held from July 5 to August 3 will not be celebrated this year.
