Guwahati Police Conducts Raid At Residences Of 2 Railway Cops In Nagaon

A team of Guwahati Police on Tuesday night conducted a raid at the residence of two railway police officers in Nagaon.

The police launched an operation at the residences' of Sub Inspectors Badri Prasad Baruati and Barnali Bora recovered a huge amount of money.

Guwahati city police as well as Nagaon SP Anand Mishra were present during the operation.

Based on specific inputs from the intelligence, Bharlumukh police station in Guwahati city today arrested two persons along with gold worth around Rs 50 lakh.

According to the statement recorded by one of the accused, Manoj Shah, the police conducted a raid at Barnali Bora's residence.

Notably, Baruati is posted in Guwahati Railway Police, while, Bora is posted in Nagaon arm of the Railway Police. Earlier, Baruati had worked with Nagaon and Karbi Anglong railway police.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway.
