Hailakandi incident | Akhil hits out at BJP

Pratidin Bureau

In the middle of a huge political row over the NRC and illegal immigration, KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi on Sunday lambasted Assam Government saying the shocking Hailakandi incident took place under the aegis of government.

"It has come to the knowledge that a large number of objections were filed in cyclostyled/forged manner in total violation of law in the NRC updating process. We welcome genuine objections. But, some people and organisations have been trying to create a good image in society by filling the fake and dubious objections." : KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi said.

"BJP Government should sign a pact with Bangladesh Government regarding illegal Bangladeshi deportation. No border fencing on a 61 km gap on the 4,096.7 km India-Bangladesh border. The shocking Hailakandi incident took place under aegis of government. Musilm fundamentalists were also involved in the case." : Gogoi added.
