HC denies bail plea of Rakesh Paul

The Gauhati High Court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of the suspended APSC chairman Rakesh Paul, who is the prime accused of the ill-famed APSC cash-for-job scam that shocked the state 2 years ago.

Rakesh Paul who had been in judicial custody filed the petition against a case filed at the Bhangagarh Police Station.

Till date, 21 arrested ACS-APS officials have been granted bail.
