Hima appears class 12 board exam

Hima Das, nicknamed "Dhing Express"- the first Indian track athlete to ever win a gold medal in a global event has appeared the AHSEC's HSSLC examination 2019 starting from Tuesday.

During her school life, she wanted to pursue her career in football and played the sport with boys from her school. Later on, she switched to athletics on the advice of a physical trainer from the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nagaon.

The Class 12 board examination will continue till March 14. The examination is being held be held in 772 centers across the State and around 2,42,844 students is expected to appear for the HSSLC examinations this year, informed AHSEC. Out of them, 1,86,199 will be appearing in Arts stream, 18,289 will be appearing in Science stream, 37,454 will be appearing in Commerce stream and 902 will be appearing in vocational stream.
