The entire team of Health Department including Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Principal Secretary Samir K Sinha visited Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) to get a first-hand understanding of problems faced by patients, faculty members and administration.

Minister Sarma also interacted with the patients and their relatives. According to sources, he instructed the officials concerned to utilise the government funds and facilities to improve the quality of services being provided.
