Himanta should be Assam CM: Bengali organisation

Assam Bengali Yuva-ChatraFederation has said that Himanta Biswa Sarma should be the Chief Minister ofthe State and that CM Sarbananda Sonowal should be removed from his chair.

The leaders of the students' organization demanded that Himanta Biswa should be the CM of the State for the sake of the Bengali community living in Assam. They further said that following the publication of the final NRC, the Bengali community has been living in fear due to the failure of the Home department of Assam government.

They also said that the insecure Bengali community could be protected, only when Himanta Biswa Sarma becomes the CM of the State.

Meanwhile, the demand of the organisationhas drawn a sharp reaction in the political scenario of Assam.
