HYCP calls for Tinsukia Bandh

Hindu Yuya Chatra Parishad and many other organisations have called for a 24 hours bandh in Tinsukia on Saturday after a social media update stirred clashes between two groups.

All Assam Adivasi Students Union, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal also supported the bandh. The bandh supporters burned tyres on the roads and damaged many vehicles. The bandh was called from Saturday 5am to Sunday 5am.

Ajij Khan who posted an update in Facebook allegedly belittling the other group have been  arrested by Tinsukia police.  Ajij was arrested from Dikom. Three other persons with linkage to the incident named  Md Habibullah, Md Shabbir Hussain and Md Narshim have also been arrested by Doomdooma police.
