A journalist allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his own residence at Joymoti Nagar, Pandu in the city.

The deceased has been identified as Madhusudan Goswami, a journalist with a regional web portal.

City police inspected the spot and registered a case of the unnatural death. The reason for his death is yet to be ascertained.
