Journalist In Sivasagar Threatened By Drug Peddler

A Sivasagar-based journalist has been threatened by a drug peddler named Tafique Shah for exposing the latter's illegal business.

The latter reportedly tried to attack the journalist today after coming out of the jail  

Named Asif Ali, the journalist had earlier collected videos of the illegal activities of the said peddler, and had even broadcasted the same through the news channel he worked for.

The broadcasting of the news had led to the arrest of Shah, and he was imprisoned until today. The said journalist has meanwhile filed an FIR with the Sivasagar Police Station.  

Shah is also accused of his wife's murder.
