Pratidin Bureau

On Saturday, the first National Conclave on the challenges and future of the Indian Judiciary system has held in Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati.

CJI Ranjan Gogoi along with Justice Sarad Arbindand much other senior justice has taken part in the high-level meeting on Saturday.

During the meet, Justice Sarad Arbind said, "Indian judiciary system has been facing a lot of difficulties these days. Public trust us. They have faith on us and court. So it's our responsibility to understand their mentality."

Adding to his statement he told, as every citizen of the country, the judges also have the right to use any social media to get updated with any situation. But they should not busy with it every time.

Moreover, targeting to media he told, some of the media use to publish or air any news on assumption. Sometimes it seems that, among such kind of news, a single percentage only gets true and the rest of the news depends upon assumption. Sometimes it takes time to pronounce a verdict which creates a negative mindset to the court among the public. But it is also true that, if it becomes more hurry to pronounce a decision, there might be possibilities of fault in the verdict. Time is really necessary here to take a neutral decision to pronounce a verdict. The public should keep patience and faith in the court in this regard.

Showing unsatisfactory symptoms with the count of the judges in the Indian Judiciary system, he told, "We really have been facing a problem of judges, which results in a delay to pronounce a verdict of a case."
