With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the state government of Assam has expanded the number of COVID Care Centers. After the Nehru Stadium COVID Care center, the health department has now prepared the Kalashetra COVID Care Center.

The Kalashetra CCC will be ready within few days with 181 beds.

Earlier, the health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will prepare additional beds to treat additional 10,000 COVID-19 patients.
